Birth of the Prophet ﷺ

Born into the noble Quraysh tribe in Makkah — a descendant of Prophet Ismail (AS). His father Abdullah had passed away before his birth. He was born in the Year of the Elephant, a year marked by the miraculous defeat of Abrahah's army.
~570–576 CE · Early Childhood

Time with Halimah as-Sa'diyah RA

Following the custom of noble Arab families, the infant Prophet ﷺ was sent to the desert to be raised by the wet-nurse Bibi Halimah as-Sa'diyah RA, for a healthier upbringing. Blessings and barakah overflowed in her household during this time. The miracle of the opening of his chest took place here.

Marriage to Khadijah RA

At the age of 25, he married Khadijah RA — a wealthy, wise, and deeply supportive businesswoman 15 years his senior. She was the first to accept Islam without a moment's hesitation and remained his most devoted companion throughout his life.

The First Revelation — Cave of Hira

During the blessed month of Ramadan, the Angel Jibreel (AS) appeared in the Cave of Hira and conveyed the very first words of divine revelation. This was the beginning of the greatest mission in human history.

اقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ "Read in the name of your Lord who created." — Al-Alaq 96:1
610–613 CE · Early Prophethood

The First Converts to Islam

The first to embrace Islam were those who knew the Prophet ﷺ closest and best. Khadijah RA (his wife), Ali RA (his cousin), Abu Bakr as-Siddiq RA (his closest friend), and Zaid ibn Harithah RA (his freed servant) — all accepted without hesitation.
613–622 CE · Makkan Period

Persecution by the Quraysh

As the message spread, the Quraysh intensified their persecution. Muslims were tortured, boycotted, and driven from their homes. Beloved companions like Bilal RA, Sumayyah RA, and Yasir RA suffered greatly. A group of Muslims sought refuge in Abyssinia under the just Christian King (Negus).

The Night Journey — Isra & Mi'raj

In one miraculous night, the Prophet ﷺ was taken from Masjid al-Haram in Makkah to Masjid al-Aqsa in Jerusalem (Al-Isra), then ascended through the heavens (Al-Mi'raj), met the prophets, and received the gift of the five daily prayers directly from Allah.

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي أَسْرَىٰ بِعَبْدِهِ لَيْلًا مِّنَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ الْأَقْصَى "Glory be to Him who took His servant by night from Al-Masjid Al-Haram to Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa." — Al-Isra 17:1

Pledges of Al-Aqabah

First Pledge: Twelve men from Yathrib pledged allegiance and accepted Islam. Second Pledge: Seventy-three men and two women pledged to protect the Prophet ﷺ and the Muslim community, laying the foundation for the new home of Islam.
622 CE · The Hijrah

Migration to Madinah

The Prophet ﷺ and his companions migrated from Makkah to Yathrib (Madinah), escaping persecution. This Hijrah marks the beginning of the Islamic calendar. Allah's protection surrounded them throughout the journey.

إِلَّا تَنصُرُوهُ فَقَدْ نَصَرَهُ اللَّهُ إِذْ أَخْرَجَهُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا "If you do not aid him — Allah has already aided him." — At-Tawbah 9:40

Establishing the Muslim Community in Madinah

Upon arrival, the Prophet ﷺ built Masjid Quba — the first mosque in Islam. He then established the bond of brotherhood (Mu'akhat) between the Muhajireen and Ansar, and created the Constitution of Madinah, guaranteeing rights for all citizens regardless of faith.

وَتَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْبِرِّ وَالتَّقْوَىٰ "And cooperate in righteousness and piety." — Al-Ma'idah 5:2

⚔️ Battle of Badr

The first major battle of Islam. Despite being vastly outnumbered (~313 Muslims vs ~1,000 Quraysh), the Muslims achieved a decisive victory. 70 polytheists were killed, 70 captured. 14 Muslims were martyred. Allah sent angels to fight alongside the believers.

وَلَقَدْ نَصَرَكُمُ اللَّهُ بِبَدْرٍ وَأَنتُمْ أَذِلَّةٌ "And Allah already gave you victory at Badr while you were few in number." — Al-Imran 3:123

⚔️ Battle of Uhud

The second major battle. Initially the Muslims had the upper hand, but archers abandoned their positions, allowing a Quraysh counterattack. The Prophet ﷺ was injured and many companions were martyred. A profound lesson in the importance of obeying the Prophet's ﷺ commands.

فَإِذَا عَزَمْتَ فَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ "Then when you have decided, rely upon Allah." — Al-Imran 3:159
627 CE · 5 AH

⚔️ Battle of the Trench (Ahzab)

The Quraysh assembled a massive coalition army and besieged Madinah. On the advice of Salman al-Farsi RA, the Muslims dug a trench (khandaq) around the city. The siege lasted a month but ended without a decisive battle — the wind and angels drove the enemy away.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اذْكُرُوا نِعْمَتَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ جَاءَتْكُمْ جُنُودٌ "O believers, remember the favor of Allah when armies came to attack you." — Al-Ahzab 33:9

📜 Treaty of Hudaybiyah

A landmark peace treaty signed with the Quraysh, establishing a 10-year truce. Though it initially seemed unfavorable to the Muslims, it allowed Islam to spread peacefully across Arabia. Allah declared it a "clear conquest" in the Quran.

إِنَّا فَتَحْنَا لَكَ فَتْحًا مُّبِينًا "Indeed, We have given you a clear conquest." — Al-Fath 48:1

✉️ Letters to World Rulers

The Prophet ﷺ sent letters inviting the rulers of Byzantium, Persia, Abyssinia, Egypt, and others to Islam. This demonstrated the universal, global message of Islam — a mercy to all of mankind, not just Arabia.

وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا رَحْمَةً لِّلْعَالَمِينَ "And We have not sent you except as a mercy to the worlds." — Al-Anbiya 21:107

🕌 The Conquest of Makkah

After the Quraysh violated the Treaty of Hudaybiyah, the Prophet ﷺ led 10,000 Muslims to Makkah. The city fell with almost no resistance. In an act of extraordinary mercy, the Prophet ﷺ forgave his former persecutors and purified the Ka'bah of all idols.

إِذَا جَاءَ نَصْرُ اللَّهِ وَالْفَتْحُ "When the victory of Allah has come and the conquest." — An-Nasr 110:1

⚔️ Battle of Hunayn

Shortly after the conquest of Makkah, the Hawazin and Thaqif tribes mobilized against the Muslims. Despite initial surprise and confusion among the Muslims, the Prophet ﷺ rallied his forces and Allah granted a decisive victory — a reminder that numbers alone cannot secure victory.

وَيَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ إِذْ أَعْجَبَتْكُمْ كَثْرَتُكُمْ فَلَمْ تُغْنِ عَنكُمْ شَيْئًا "The day of Hunayn, when your great number pleased you but availed you nothing." — At-Tawbah 9:25

⚔️ Expedition of Tabuk

The Muslims marched to Tabuk in response to threats from the Byzantine Empire — a long and difficult journey through desert heat. The enemy retreated without battle. The campaign demonstrated the military strength, discipline, and commitment of the Muslim community.

🕋 The Farewell Pilgrimage (Hajjat al-Wada')

The Prophet ﷺ performed his one and only Hajj, accompanied by over 100,000 companions. On the plains of Arafah, he delivered the legendary Farewell Sermon — a timeless message of equality, justice, human rights, and brotherhood that resonates across centuries.

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ وَاحِدٌ، وَإِنَّ أَبَاكُمْ وَاحِدٌ، أَلَا لَا فَضْلَ لِعَرَبِيٍّ عَلَى عَجَمِيٍّ إِلَّا بِالتَّقْوَى "O people, your Lord is one and your father is one. No Arab has superiority over a non-Arab except by piety." — Farewell Sermon

🌙 The Passing of the Prophet ﷺ

After a brief illness, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ returned to His Lord at the age of 63. His death marked the end of prophethood and the beginning of the Caliphate. The companions were shattered, until Abu Bakr RA reminded them with the timeless words of Allah:

وَمَا مُحَمَّدٌ إِلَّا رَسُولٌ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِ الرُّسُلُ "Muhammad is no more than a messenger; many were the messengers that passed away before him." — Al-Imran 3:144
