Thana -Subhanaka Allahumma wa bihamdika Dua
It is an essential supplication recited during the salah. It is said after the opening Takbir (Takbir al-Ihram) and before reciting Surah Al-Fatiha, marking the beginning of the prayer’s recitations. The Thana praises and acknowledges Allah’s greatness, emphasizing the connection between the worshiper and the Creator.It is also called Dua al istiftah.
Thana in Arabic
سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ وَتَبَارَكَ اسْمُكَ وَتَعَالَى جَدُّكَ وَلاَ إِلَهَ غَيْرُكَ
Transliteration: Subhanaka Allahumma wa bihamdika wa tabarakasmuka, wa ta’ala jadduka wa la ilaha ghairuk
Translation: ‘Glorious You are O Allah, and with Your praise, and blessed is Your Name, and exalted is Your majesty, and none has the right to be worshipped but You.
